Bayfes\u2019s festive vibe will have music\u00a0lovers dancing under the stars till the sun comes up. The event sets to capture the\u00a0essence of Heritage Day by bringing together all the diverse genres of music Mzanzi has\u00a0to offer.<\/p>\n
The music line up includes national artists, Black Motion, Sphectacula and DJ\u00a0Navas. Local artists include Picasso, Marrest Phonik, Breakfast the DJ, Muzero, Pappi\u00a0Rico and many more. ZakEmo, ranked 4 th in Musica outlets, is the newest act addition.<\/p>\n
Bayfest is a joint venture of Urban Event Inc. ZA, TM Investments, Percitype, Chief\u00a0Nqoko\u2019s place and Anchorents. The dynamic organizers aim to make Bay festival an\u00a0annual event and have a couple more surprising events lined up for Port Elizabeth.\u00a0Bayfes\u2019s stage is dominated by locals acts in an aim to celebrate local acts as much as national acts.<\/p>\n
The windy city is known for its unpredictable weather. Thabo Mokoneneyane, owner of\u00a0TM Investments, says \u201cluckily weather forecasts looks good, we have partnered with a\u00a0reputable hiring company that will be providing us with a structural engineer for our tents\u00a0to ensure the health and safety and that the strong winds don\u2019t affect us\u201d.<\/p>\n
Last year\u2019s\u00a0Nelson Mandela Bay Cultural Festival was at the centre of controversy after municipal\u00a0sponsorships withdrew along with artists who claimed they weren\u2019t paid. Mokoneneyane\u00a0confirmed that they weren\u2019t the organizers behind the event and stated, \u201cour artists were\u00a0paid on\u00a0time, flights booked on time\u201d.
