Applications are open to\u00a0undergraduate and postgraduate students enrolled at the University of Pretoria and Wits University\u00a0as well as to the general public.<\/p>\n<p>The embassy launched the programme with the aim of \u201cboosting understanding of Korea among\u00a0the young generation of South Africa who will be the future leaders of South Africa\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The embassy added that the programme \u201caimed to encourage undergraduates and postgraduates\u00a0enrolled in higher learning institutes in South Africa to have a better understanding of Korea by\u00a0engaging them in academic activities such as essay-writing, presentations and discussions on the\u00a0topics of Korea encompassing its politics, economy, history, culture, etc\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Applicants may choose one of the following topics:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Evaluation and Prospects of Korea-South Africa Relations in celebration of the 25th<\/p>\n<p>anniversary of establishing diplomatic ties in 2017.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 How to promote cultural exchanges between Korea and South Africa.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 \u00a0Korea In My Daily Life<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 How to implement the outcomes of the fourth Korea-Africa Forum encapsulated in Addis<\/p>\n<p>Ababa Declaration and Co-operative Framework<\/p>\n<p>Essays will be assessed by the embassy and those making it to the second round will be announced\u00a0during the first week of July.\u00a0Three candidates for the second round to be selected at each university and prize money to be\u00a0given to the candidates through the universities.
