Social distancing might be good for our health, but it’s a total killer to the music scene. With stages bare and dance floors empty for the foreseeable future, it’s even harder to find an audience. We want to help!
To try and fill a little of that gap, StudenNews.Africa is starting up a monthly showcase of new music. If you or someone you know has a new album or single you’d like to promote, send us a press release and links so we can put it up for you.
Well-established local musicians are most welcome, but we’re really hoping to promote the new bands and artists just starting out. Those of you who’d be cutting your teeth at open mike nights and getting your first support slots on quiet week nights. Don’t worry if you don’t have a professional video – we’re all getting quite used to home recordings these days and even just an audio link will do.
